I caught what I believe was a golf ball purpose ly tossed out the back window of a car going the other direction. Thankfully, the speed limit on this road is only 35 mph, so the closing speed wasn’t too high or it might have done a lot more damage than it did.
Unfortunately, the road is narrow, has deep/soft ditches and no place to turn around or I would have chased that bastard down.
I really need to get both front and rear-facing dash cams which are easily swapped between cars. This happened in my rental and glass damage is one of those things that isn’t covered by the insurance. We have coverage through our company credit card, but now I’ll have file a claim with them. I went through something like this before and it took over a year to resolve.

Louisiana. Not much difference, though. Same gators. Similar swamps. More ocean in Florida. More river in Louisiana.

Yeah, if it had been hit from a golf course. I’m pretty sure this was purposely dropped out the driver’s side back window. It was probably a kid that did it.

What an asshole. Hope the headache from the rental company isn’t too bad. Good luck-

Why someone would do that is beyond me :(. I’m assuming the whole glass needs replacing?
Claims through a rental are such a nightmare, I just curbed a wheel on mine (stupid) and I’m really hoping they don’t notice.

It will probably require a new windshield. The crack is bigger than a half-dollar, a bout the same size as a golf ball. :)
I saw something white drop out of the back window of the car, then BANG! The size and shape of the crack makes me believe it was a golf ball.
